Point-and-click text analytics: an introduction to LDaCA Wordflow

26 October 2026

Do you work with text (interviews, social media, news, speeches, archives, survey comments) but not with Python or R? LDaCA Wordflow is a free text analysis app built for exactly that: word frequency, concordance, trends over time, topic modelling and, new this year, GenAI-assisted annotation, all point-and-click, with your data visible at every step.

This in-person, 3-hour workshop at the University of Melbourne, co-hosted by the Melbourne Data Analytics Platform (MDAP), the Language Data Commons of Australia (LDaCA) and the Sydney Informatics Hub, is an introduction for people who have never used it.

Who it’s for

  • researchers at any stage, from HDR students to senior academics, in any field where text is data. No programming experience needed. Open to researchers from all disciplines.
